Job summary

Iowa Workforce Development is seeking a Computer Programmer to join the Labor Market Information Division in Des Moines. This in-office role supports the ACES program with coding across Javascript, SQL, .NET, C#, VB Net, SAS, Oracle, Python and more, following ACES standards.

The position requires collaboration with team members and partners, rigorous testing, and clear documentation. After a 6-month probation, there is hybrid telework and an alternate schedule option, with a full-time schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in any field with at least 1 year of IT programming or related experience.
• Strong coding and testing capabilities across multiple languages as described in program specs.
• Experience analyzing complex systems and collaborating with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of information security standards and backup/recovery practices.

Responsibilities

• Write and test code using approved languages per program specs and ACES standards.
• Develop and maintain data-driven web modules and databases; document code clearly.
• Support system users via helpline and resolve issues per standards.
• Participate in training and keep current with new technologies and tools.
