Job summary

Allstate in Boston seeks a Senior Trial Attorney to independently manage a complex litigation caseload across bodily injury, property damage, and subrogation matters. You will lead trials, arbitrations, mediations, and high-exposure negotiations while coordinating with claims and other legal teams.

You will monitor evolving laws and strategy, provide strategic counsel, and travel within Massachusetts to support court appearances and settlements. JD and MA Bar in good standing required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate with active Massachusetts State Bar membership.
• 4+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense, bodily injury or related civil litigation.
• Experience leading trials, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Represents insured individuals and Allstate in defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits and related subrogation matters.
• Independently manages all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, including discovery, motions, and trial.
• Reviews new files, develops litigation strategy, directs discovery, and prepares witnesses for depositions and hearings.
• Drafts pleadings, motions, and trial documents; advocates at hearings, arbitrations and trials.
• Keeps claim partners informed on case developments, strategies, exposure, and settlements.
• Travels as needed across Massachusetts to support litigation responsibilities.
