Job summary

Fivepointsdesoto is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will administer prescribed PT treatments to residents to improve mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will provide skilled PT services, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to adjust plans of care and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System (EHR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist as ordered by a physician.
• Respond to service requests by relaying information to the PT.
• Implement and modify Plans of Care under PT supervision.
• Measure and document patients' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
