Job summary

Avir at Golfcrest in Houston, TX is looking for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our in-house rehabilitation team under a licensed Physical Therapist. You will provide direct patient care, implement treatment plans, and help residents regain mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing with licensing boards.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation system is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PTA treatments to promote mobility and function.
• Deliver skilled therapy interventions under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Implement and modify treatment plans based on resident progress.
• Record motor function, strength, and therapy response.
• Educate and support residents, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation per guidelines.
• Communicate updates to supervising PT.
• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
