Job summary

Memphis Convalescent Center is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will deliver person-centered care to residents, helping them improve mobility, strength, and overall quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include administering prescribed treatments, documenting progress, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or long-term care is preferred.
• Knowledge of current physical therapy treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PTA treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PTA services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Support therapists by relaying information and referrals as needed.
• Modify care plans under PT supervision as patient needs change.
• Record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely and compliant documentation according to policies.
• Attend required rehab department meetings.
