Job summary

Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster, PA is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our in-house team. PRN OT opportunities are available. You will help clients develop, recover or maintain daily living and work skills with client-centered services.

The role emphasizes holistic care, adaptation of environments, and education for clients and families within an ethical care setting. AA/EEO/M/F/D/V

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as an occupational therapist.
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
• Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession.

Responsibilities

• Address client's performance to support engagement in occupations affecting health and life quality.
• Select and adapt OT treatment models and approaches for interventions.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in ADL/IADL.
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and breaking down activities into components.
• Assess home and environments and advise on alterations.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, note, and report progress of goals.
• Collect data and document processes.
• Regular follow-up with clients.
