Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Medical Malpractice Attorney (In-House) to manage defense matters for California physicians within a collaborative legal team. The position involves pleadings, discovery, court appearances, and strategy development, with a clear path to greater trial responsibility.

The ideal candidate will be a California-barred attorney with strong defense experience, able to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and staff in a hybrid environment.

Qualificações

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Strong litigation experience with medical malpractice defense preferred.
• Defense-side litigation experience preferred.
• Experience handling pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and court appearances.
• Knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules.
• Strong legal research and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage medical malpractice defense matters throughout the litigation lifecycle.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with Trial Attorneys and claims professionals.
• Conduct legal research and analyze medical, factual, and liability issues.
• Attend hearings, conferences, depositions, and court proceedings as required.
• Maintain timely communication regarding case developments and status.
• Collaborate with trial lawyers, paralegals, and claims staff on assigned matters.
• Ensure matters adhere to defense guidelines and internal standards.
