Job summary

MXR Imaging, Inc. seeks an in-house CT Technician experienced with Computed Tomography imaging equipment. The role installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates and verifies performance of CT systems and parts, combining mathematics, physics and programming skills.

Responsibilities include installations, maintenance, parts testing, quality control, and on-call support during afterhours. Requires an Electronics Tech degree with medical imaging knowledge and familiarity with GE/Siemens

Qualifications

  • Requires an Associate's degree or higher in Electronics Tech or military equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience as a service engineer in a medical field.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging requirements; CT experience recommended with OEM exposure (GE/Siemens).
  • Knowledge of electrical safety theory.

Responsibilities

  • Repair parts for sale, order parts, and provide phone support to customers.
  • Installations and deinstallations of systems as needed.
  • Perform quarterly preventative maintenance on in-house systems.
  • Conduct testing, diagnostic work, and calibration of equipment per manufacturers’ specs.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and orderly workflow.

Job description

Position Description

This position requires familiarity with many classes of Computed Tomography imaging equipment. The In-House CT Technician installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates and verifies the performance of systems and associated parts. This role involves a strong combination of mathematics, physics and programming skills.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Repair parts for sale, ordering parts and phone support to customers
  • Perform installations and deinstallation of systems as needed
  • Perform quarterly preventative maintenance on in-house systems
  • Parts testing, repair analysis and system diagnostic testing
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order in the workshop
  • Constant communication and attention to the workflow of the workshop
  • Perform incoming inspections, equipment quality control, testing, calibration, and image evaluation of equipment according to manufacturers specifications and other established guidelines
  • Demonstrate adherence to the business core values in all professional interactions with internal and external customers and exhibiting integrity
  • Work overtime as necessary during on-call weeks and at other times as required. Potential on-call rotation for afterhours part and sales support.
  • Tank and tube repairs as needed
  • Support Quality initiatives as it pertains to the organization and the role
Education

Required: Associates degree or higher in Electronics Tech required or Military equivalent

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields

Experience
  • 3 plus years' experience in a medical field as a service engineer
  • Knowledge of medical imaging requirements in general and computed tomography in particular
  • Experience with OEM, GE or Siemens CT/MRI recommended
  • Possesses knowledge of electrical safety theory
