Job summary

Varco Home Health, Hospice and Homecare is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide one-on-one therapy in patients’ homes. This PRN role offers a flexible schedule, ideal for candidates seeking work-life balance or extra income.

You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, assisting with ADLs, strength and safety, and reinforcing home exercise programs. Strong communication and independence in a home setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Texas COTA license required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently in a home setting.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Kinnser/WellSky EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, and safety.
• Reinforce therapy plans and home exercise programs.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising OT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety and functional techniques.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
