Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a compassionate Speech Therapist to deliver in-home speech-language therapy services in a nonprofit home and community healthcare setting. You will assess, treat, educate, coordinate care, and plan discharges to help clients improve communication, feeding, and oral-motor skills.

Responsibilities include screenings, direct treatment, developing measurable care plans, and collaborating with families and clinicians to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Speech and Language Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Maine.
• Current CPR certification, renewed every two years.
• At least one year of clinical speech therapy experience preferred.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ASHA standards of practice.
• Ability to assess, treat, document, and coordinate care for clients with speech, language, feeding, and oral-motor needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home speech and language therapy services in clients’ homes and community settings.
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and direct treatment for clients and families.
• Assess language, feeding, articulation, and oral-motor skills; develop measurable care plans.
• Coordinate care plans and discharge planning with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain timely documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes.
• Educate clients and families on therapy goals and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, payers, and care team members.
