Job summary

Dragonfly Cares is seeking a credentialed Special Education Teacher to provide individualized in-home instruction to children with autism and developmental disabilities in New York. The role offers flexible scheduling and a pay rate of $55-65 per hour, with immediate start.

You will design and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, conduct Parent Counseling and Training, collect progress data, and collaborate with families and school teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education is required.
• Valid NYS SWD certification.
• 1–2 years experience with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in home-based settings and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized academic and behavioral instruction in clients' homes.
• Communicate effectively with families and caregivers.
• Design and implement personalized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Conduct Parent Counseling and Training sessions.
• Collect and analyze progress data; adjust interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with clinicians, parents, and school teams for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate session notes and records.
• Stay current with ABA research and best practices.
