We are seeking a trustworthy In-Home Service Technician who takes pride in a job well done. At Dryer Vent Wizard of North MKE, you will be a key member of our company and an important part of the only international franchise company focused exclusively on dryer vent cleaning, repair, installation, and maintenance. We have built a stellar reputation over the past 12 years in Milwaukee and the W.O.W. counties and we are looking to grow even further!

IN-HOME SERVICE TECHNICIAN Responsibilities:

• PROFIONAL: Present yourself in a professional manner at all times: Uniforms and appropriate personal grooming required
• FRIENDLY: Demonstrate a great attitude and demeanor with each customer
• ATTENTIVE: Uncover customer issues, properly diagnose the causes, and confidently solve their problems (FULL training included)
• EFFICIENT AND ORGANIZED: Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition
• ROOF WORK: If you are not comfortable working on standard pitched roofs, please DO NOT apply
• LADDER WORK: Must be comfortable moving and working independently on ladders 6 foot to 28 foot
• ATTENTIVE: Work efficiently AND willing to take the time needed to ensure the job is done correctly
• PUNCTUAL: We respect our customers by arriving within our allotted time and communicating our arrivals

Job Requirements:

• Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass all screenings - NO Smoking during hours for any reason
• Comfortable working with tools and willingness to learn visualizing venting solutions
• General or basic construction knowledge is helpful, but not necessary
• Must be able to transport service vehicles safely and legally between job sites.
• Physical ability to work in crawl spaces, tighter areas, on ladders, roofs and attics
• Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology
• Excellent communication skills and personality

PS: We will provide full training. No specific experience required.

However, we work in closets, attics, on roofs and ladders, in crawl spaces and laundry rooms that are too small. We do require a signed non‑compete agreement.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

How It All Began

The Dryer Vent Wizard franchise system was founded in 2004 in the Boston area by David Lavalle, who also founded the Mr. Handyman franchise. The idea was born when Lavalle realized the need for a specialist for dryer vents. He had frequently encountered homeowners having dryer vent issues that required an urgent response, but who had no one to look to for service. The issues he commonly saw were the result of dryer vent lint accumulation, blockages, disrepair, or improper venting configurations. With such a great need for dryer vent specialists, the franchise quickly expanded into a successful business specializing in dryer fire prevention and energy savings through vent cleaning, inspection, repair, and maintenance for residential and commercial properties.

Our Growth & Our Future

Dryer Vent Wizard has now grown across the United States and Canada with nearly 120 locally owned and operated franchise locations. These franchise locations, although independently operated, receive national support from our headquarters, located in Irving, TX. Dryer Vent Wizard is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) with franchisees across the country working with local fire departments to help raise awareness on how to prevent dryer fires.
