Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute is seeking a Private Duty Registered Nurse to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in patients' homes across Virginia. You will deliver individualized clinical care, monitor conditions, administer medications, and adjust care plans as needs change.

This role partners with families and the broader care team to educate and promote independence, ensure safety, maintain documentation, and uphold high standards of patient-centered home health care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Strong clinical judgment for complex, home-based care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with families and care teams.
• Compassionate, patient-first approach with attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized clinical care for pediatric and adult patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Perform clinical assessments and monitor patients’ conditions.
• Administer medications and provide prescribed treatments and skilled nursing interventions.
• Manage complex medical conditions and adapt care as needs change.
• Collaborate with patients’ families and the broader care team to implement and maintain care plans.
• Promote independence through patient education and supportive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical and safety standards.
