Job summary

Envision Unlimited is seeking an In-Home Respite worker to provide habilitation services and relief to the primary caregiver in the home. This part-time role involves ensuring the client's safety and adherence to daily routines, with hours capped at 300 per fiscal year.

Responsibilities include supervising the client, maintaining a safe environment, and following family training instructions. Training and background checks are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Prefer candidates with experience in the Intellectual or Developmental Disability (I-DD) community.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must successfully complete the Envision Respite care training Program.
• Valid Driver's License or State ID.
• Pass a full criminal background check.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and guidance to client while primary caretaker is out of the home.
• Provide a safe environment while primary caretaker is out of the home; ensure health, safety and well-being.
• Follow the established routines, behavior management strategies, communication techniques and other instructions provided by the family during training sessions.
• Maintain up-to-date training as required by Envision and the Respite Care Program.
