Job summary

Bridge Care Inc in Maine is hiring compassionate Personal Support Specialists to provide one-on-one in-home care for older adults and individuals with disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, and light housekeeping while ensuring safety and comfort in clients’ homes. Roles include afternoon/evening shifts with possible weekends and night hours, and involve EVV scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must begin a PSS training program within 2 months of hire.
• Must obtain PSS certification within 9 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Must maintain active vehicle insurance.
• Must be available for afternoon and evening shifts.
• Must have a working cell phone for EVV documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on daily care and personal support to clients in home settings.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
• Monitor and report changes in a client’s condition, health, or safety.
• Provide medication reminders or assistance as allowed by training and care plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and general home support.
• Support clients with daily routines, companionship, and comfort.
• Follow safety procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Complete care documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain dependable attendance and follow assigned schedules.
• Treat all clients with dignity, respect, and compassion.
