Job summary

Visiting Angels Corsicana is seeking In Home Personal Aides to provide compassionate care to seniors in Corsicana and surrounding areas, including Athens and Kerens. The role involves companionship, basic medical support, and personal care within clients’ homes.

We offer opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care to help caregivers grow their skills and provide dignified support in a home setting. Both full-time and part-time openings are available.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with prescribed medications as needed.

• Assist with shopping or accompany for errands.
• Perform light housekeeping as directed.
• Provide a pleasant, supportive companionship.

In Home Personal Aide Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

In Home Personal Aide Requirements
