Visiting Angels Richardson is hiring an In Home Personal Aide to support seniors across North Texas communities including Addison, Carrollton, and The Colony. You will assist with everyday tasks, mobility, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience is preferred.
• Excellent time-management and communication abilities are essential.
• Reliable transportation to client visits and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light housekeeping and daily living tasks.
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
• Administer medications and remind clients to take pills on time.
• Shop for groceries or assist with shopping and putting away groceries.
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients.
• Assist with mobility and accompany clients to appointments and walks.

A Visiting Angels In Home Personal Aide wears many hats as they help our elderly and home‑care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

While no two client visits look exactly alike, responsibilities may include:

• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

An In Home Personal Aide must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.

In Home Personal Aide Job Requirements
