Visiting Angels of Bryan is seeking a compassionate In Home Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support clients across Central Texas, including Navasota, Bryan, and College Station. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, housekeeping, and companionship, while following individualized care plans and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• First Aid and emergency response training is required (provided if needed).
• Excellent time-management and ability to juggle multiple duties are needed.
• Reliable transportation to client homes at scheduled times.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.

As a Visiting Angels In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
