Job summary

Visiting Angels of Hurst, TX is seeking compassionate In Home Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to support clients in the HEB area. You will provide personal care, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation assistance in clients' homes with flexible shifts and competitive hourly wages.

Responsibilities include monitoring health changes, assisting with mobility, and ensuring safety during daily activities. Training in dementia/alzheimer’s care is available for growth.

As a Visiting Angels In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation and current driver’s license to get to and from client homes at the times you are scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to tasks like carrying groceries and transferring a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary requirements
• Be willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
