Job summary

Best Buy is seeking an In-Home Installation Technician to install, integrate and troubleshoot tech products in customers' homes, from home theaters to networking gear. You will partner with Geek Squad Agents and service partners to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional service.

You will lead two-person jobs when required, manage inventory and paperwork, and follow safety guidelines while helping customers choose the right technology for their lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have current, valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards.
• Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required to perform job effectively within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift weight up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds as part of a team with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift weight up to 250 pounds as part of a team with the support tools such as harnesses or lifts.
• 6 months of consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration and troubleshooting experience.
• 6 months of customer service experience.

As an In-Home Installation Technician, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, installation, integration, and troubleshooting tech products such as home theater, computing, smart home and networking. Outside of delivery and installation, you’ll find the right solutions for customers’ lifestyles and technology needs based on your conversations. You’ll partner with other Geek Squad Agents, service partners, retail employees and supply chain employees to drive performance to meet Best Buy’s strategy and yearly initiatives.
