Job summary

Best Buy in Texas is seeking an In-Home Installation and Health Technician to deliver, install, integrate and troubleshoot health technology and consumer electronics in customers’ homes while ensuring HIPAA and health-related requirements are met.

You will lead two-person jobs, support installation teams, manage inventory, and follow strict safety guidelines. A valid license and driving record are required, with lifting capabilities up to 75 kg with team support as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration and troubleshooting experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to acquire health-related certifications (e.g., HIPAA) within 90 days of hire.

In-Home Installation and Health Technician

As an In-Home Installation and Health Technician, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, installation, integration and troubleshooting for basic, complex, and advanced consumer electronics products such as home theater, computing, smart home, health technology and networking. This role also requires technical expertise in health device installation and support including all appropriate HIPAA and health-related requirements. Outside of delivery and installation, you’ll find the right solutions for customers’ lifestyles and technology needs based on interactions within the home. This role requires partnership and indirect leadership with other Agents, service partners, retail employees, and supply chain employees. Internally, we refer to this role as a Consumer Electronic Double Agent.

What you’ll do

Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards

Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required to perform job effectively within 90 days of hire

Ability to acquire any health-related certifications (e.g., HIPAA), as required to perform the job effectively within 90 days of hire

Ability to lift weight up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation, up to 150 pounds as part of a team with or without reasonable accommodation, and between 150-250 pounds as part of a team with support tools such as harnesses or lifts

2 years of consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration and troubleshooting experience

1 year of customer service experience

Preferred qualifications

• 1 year of experience in installation, integration and troubleshooting of advanced or complex consumer electronics products
