Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to deliver end-of-life care in families' homes, avoiding the clinic setting. You’ll work independently on the road with ongoing mentorship and a supportive team, ensuring dignified, gentle goodbyes for pets and their families.

The role offers flexible scheduling, including 5-day and 4-day full-time options, plus prorated schedules for 2-3 days or self-managed part-time (DVM Flex-Scheduling).

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinarian with DVM/VMD/BVMS degree.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Ability to lift 50–90 lbs unassisted/assisted.
• License verification and background check required.
• Weekend availability and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate veterinary care in patients' homes.
• Practice independently on the road with team support.
• Support families with end-of-life care and counseling.
• Coordinate visits and scheduling according to family needs.
