Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking an in-home therapist to deliver age-appropriate and culturally sensitive therapy for children and families in the Greater Boston area. You will work within the Safe at Home program, providing intensive family therapy and collaborating with partners to meet therapeutic goals.

We value bilingual Spanish speakers and require evening availability. A master’s degree in a related field, solid communication skills, and reliable transportation are essential for

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling or related field.
• Familiarity with working with children and families.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong time management skills; capable of independent and team work.
• Licensed and insured driver with reliable access to a car.
• Evening availability required.
• Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive in-home therapy for clients and families.
• Deliver intensive family therapy services and support to the child welfare program.
• Coordinate with collateral agencies and programs to support services.
• Identify community resources to assist children and families.
• Advocate for families and help parents build advocacy skills.
• Participate in CBHI wrap-around service model.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity in all interactions.
