Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarian to serve pet families across Atlanta and surrounding areas. You will provide compassionate end-of-life care in the comfort of the family home, ensuring conversations are handled with sensitivity and professionalism.

As a doctor-led, privately held practice, you will work in a flexible, family-friendly environment with no non-compete contracts, and opportunities for mentorship and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile in-home setting.
• Weekend availability on a rotational schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted.
• Empathy, compassion and respectful communication with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services to pet families.
• Discuss care options and support families through their decision process.
• Maintain professional communication with team and families.
• Ensure safe handling and transport in mobile settings.
