Job summary

Home Care Assistance of Philadelphia is hiring a daytime caregiver for the Manayunk area. You will drive the client, help with bathing, meals, and light housekeeping, providing one-on-one care in the client’s home.

We offer immediate openings, 24x7 office support, and PayActive as part of our benefits. Applicants should have caregiving experience, reliable transportation, and be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Past experience as a caregiver, either professionally or with family members.
• A passion for the job and helping others.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Excellent references from past employers and supervisors.
• Current 2 step PPD, quantiferon gold or chest x-ray (required by PA Dept of Health)

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly client with daily living activities, including transfers, helping with bathing, grooming and medication reminders.
• Client and caregivers are matched based on skill level, personality traits and preferences to support long-term relationships.
• May include light housekeeping, running errands, meal preparation and laundry.
