About Play, LLC is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist to service Charleston, North Charleston and Summerville in South Carolina. The role focuses on delivering family-centered services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience; willingness for on-the-job training is also noted. Travel and local visits are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or any related field plus 1 year of documented experience with children birth to six years.
• Prior early interventionist, teaching or early child development experience preferred or a recent/ upcoming graduate with a related degree.
• Must reside in South Carolina and be willing to travel across Charleston, North Charleston and Summerville counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Perform family training with the caregiver and child in home, daycare or natural environment setting.
• Provide training, education and support to families in child development, parenting and family functioning.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the child’s development.
• Monitor progress of child and family.
