This position has flexible scheduling with morning, afternoon and evening hours available, primarily between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM. Depending on availability, employees generally work between 8-36 hours/week.
Job Summary:
The In Home Program provides independent living services funded by Waivers/SILS for clients with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Services are provided both in the community and in the client's home.
This position is responsible for assisting clients in maintaining or increasing independence in their home, a foster home, or their family home. Individuals in this position are responsible for working with clients with challenging behaviors, dual diagnosis, and program plans that require a high degree of skill/experience on the part of the staff person. Direct Support Professionals act independently and without direct supervision.
Hours:
Typical, In-Home DSP's work between 8-32 hours per week - generally no weekends.

Job Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Job Related Experience: Strongly prefer candidates with at least six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities/impairments.
Additional Requirements: Valid MN driver’s license required. Must pass our insurance standards to be an agency driver. Must pass a background check. Also, since many of the homes have dogs and cats, candidates need to be comfortable working around them.
