Job summary

Northeast Arc in Danvers, MA is seeking a Community Support Coach to provide in-home and community assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and community skills.
• Proficient with documentation systems and clocking in/out; valid driver’s license.
• Reliable personal vehicle required for client transportation.
• Ability to stand for periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for individuals in their home and/or within the community.
• Works on goals and skills acquisition in communication, social and recreation, ADL, safety skills while promoting independence, self-determination, and self-advocacy.
• Maintains regular communication with families, Program Director and other professionals involved with the family.
• Works with families regarding intervention techniques if applicable.
• Assists individuals and families in accessing resources that might be beneficial.
• Respects human and legal rights of individuals served.
• Completes all necessary paperwork such as progress notes, incident reports, time sheets and required DDS progress reports throughout the year.
• Attends all annual mandatory trainings required by the program as well as Northeast Arc.
