Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient well-being by observing physical and mental condition.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry, shops for food, and prepares meals.
• Assists with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Teaches use of cane or walker and other aids for personal hygiene.
• Educates family on lifting, nutrition, cleanliness and home safety.
• Records patient information in the journal and notifies nursing staff of changes.
• Keeps the patient environment safe and clean per asepsis and dietary rules.
