Job summary

PurposeCare is seeking compassionate, dependable In-Home Caregivers to join our team in Illinois. We provide paid training, paid orientation, and ongoing support to help you succeed in your role.

You will help clients with daily living activities, meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship, while ensuring safety and dignity in home settings. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour with opportunities to earn up to $23.00 per hour; full-time and part-time roles available, plus

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Experience or training in personal care or home health assistance.
• Ability to pass a background check and a competency skills check.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes within the Aurora service area.
• Ability to follow written care instructions and document services.
• Strong compassion, patience, and professionalism with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work independently in home settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor for changes, reporting concerns.
• Perform light housekeeping to ensure a safe home.
• Answer phones and communicate with clients and families; update office.
• Respond to emergencies with basic first aid or CPR when needed.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation.
