Job summary

AmeriCare Plus is seeking a dedicated CNA/NA/PCA to provide in-home personal care in Portsmouth, VA. You will assist clients with daily activities, maintain safety during transfers, and offer companionship. Flexible FT/PT/PRN schedules include weekdays, weekends, and overnights.

We provide weekly pay and benefits with full-time roles. PCA class and ongoing training are available to help you grow in this compassionate field.

Qualifications

• CNA/NA/PCA certification required; online PCA training available.
• Valid VA driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• SS card and two professional references provided.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Support mobility and transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair).

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing
• Support mobility and transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair)
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding
• Provide medication reminders
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior

Requirements:

• CNA, NA, or PCA certification (online training provided for PCA interest)
• Reliable transportation and valid Virginia driver’s license
• SS card & 2 professional references
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
