Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking caring in-home support professionals to assist clients in their homes. Role involves personal care, meal prep, housekeeping, and companionship, with a focus on helping clients stay independent and safe at home.

We offer paid training, flexible hours, and a supportive team environment. Prior experience is not required; training begins upon hire and Daily Pay is available for quick access to earnings.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
• Meal preparation assistance: preparing meals, serving, cleaning, and assisting with eating.
• Personal care assistance: bathing, dressing, grooming, denture care, skin care.
• Housekeeping tasks: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash, dusting, fridge cleaning, dishes.
• Laundry tasks: washing, drying, folding, putting away clothes.
• Run errands: grocery shopping, pick up medications, etc.
• Be dependable and punctual.

Job Duties

• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
• Complete meal preparation assistance to include preparing meals, serving meals, cleaning up meal preparation areas, and assisting your patient with eating as needed and applicable.
• Complete personal care assistance to include tub, shower, or bed baths, assist with dressing, grooming, denture care, and skin care.
• Complete housekeeping tasks to include: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, taking out trash, dusting, cleaning out the refrigerator, and washing/putting away dishes.
• Complete laundry tasks to include: washing, drying, folding, and putting away of all laundry. Performing laundry tasks at a laundromat, if needed.
• Assist with running errands to include: grocery shopping, picking up medical supplies, running to the post office, etc.
• Rarely absent from work and is reliable, dependable, and shows up on time.

Compensation: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

I worked at Home Helpers of Bourbonnais for 5 year and it was by far the best job I've had. The owner is very invested in her business and truly cares about her staff and Clients. The office staff is very professional and does a great job managing. As a caregiver you can have as many or as little hours as you wish. Schedules do change but that's only when the clients need changed. I also had an updated care plan for every client and I was able to assist with making sure that my clients had the best care as my shift ended. Supervisors are not at every clients house all the time but they are very involved and always reachable.
