Job summary

Visiting Angels Longview is hiring an In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper to support seniors in East Texas, including Carthage. The role centers on compassionate care, personal assistance, light housekeeping, meal prep, and mobility support with opportunities for growth through dementia/alzheimer’s care training.

Shifts include Full Time, Part Time, 8/10/12 hour options, PRN, and Short Shift. Benefits include health, dental, vision, holiday pay, and weekly pay with a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with mobility.

In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
