Job summary

Institute on Aging (IOA) seeks compassionate Home Care Aides to support older adults and people with disabilities in Sacramento and surrounding communities. Provide in-home services, daily living assistance, and medication reminders where needed.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, meals, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. Requirements: Home Care Services Bureau registration, Livescan clearance, TB clearance, and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Home Care Services Bureau registration is required.
• Livescan/fingerprinting clearance required.
• Current tuberculosis/TB clearance required.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (2 IDs) required.
• English language proficiency is a must.

Responsibilities

• Bathing and dressing clients.
• Personal care and meal preparation.
• Medication reminders and errands.
• Respite/companion engagement and light housekeeping.
• Mobility transfer assistance and transportation.
• Care for clients with dementia, Parkinson's, or hospice needs.
• Coordinate with administrative team.
