Job summary

ameriCARE of Greater Richmond is hiring Personal Caregivers to support clients in the Dinwiddie area. You’ll help with medication reminders, errands, meal preparation, and light housekeeping in home care settings.

We value compassionate, respectful caregivers and offer flexible hours, paid training, health benefits, PTO, and recognition programs. CPR certification and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification required (American Heart Association).
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Respectful, compassionate bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the home or to appointments.
• Assist with physical therapy and prescribed exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them shopping when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors, and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
