Job summary

Passion Calling Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide (HHA) to deliver compassionate in-home care to clients in their residences. You will aid with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and safety per individualized care plans while following agency policies and Virginia regulations.

The role requires completing required orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing training, with supervision under a RN or Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved nurse aide education program or current nurse aide certification issued by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
• CPR/First Aid certification if required by the agency or regulations.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Successful completion of required background checks and employment screenings.
• Ability to follow written instructions, care plans, and agency policies.
• Good communication, time management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Provide assistance with toileting and incontinence care.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility using safety techniques.
• Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and hydration per care plan.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to client care.
• Provide companionship and respectful social interaction.
• Observe and report changes to supervisor.
• Measure and record vital signs when authorized.
• Provide medication assistance only when legally permitted and authorized.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
