Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving in Harrison County, WV, seeks compassionate caregivers for in-home, non-medical care. You will provide companionship, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and mobility support to seniors, veterans, and adults with disabilities in their homes.

We offer flexible scheduling—full-time, part-time, or PRN—with weekly and daily pay options, mileage reimbursement, and holiday pay. Prior caregiving experience helpful but not required; strong character and reliability are

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and physical mobility support.
• Ability to accurately follow written care plans and verbal instructions.
• Strong, respectful communication with clients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement to clients.
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals per dietary needs and assist with feeding if required.
• Perform light housekeeping and manage laundry and dishes.
• Provide medication reminders and ensure clients take scheduled meds.
• Assist with mobility transfers and use of mobility equipment.
• Deliver in-home, non-medical caregiving and respite support.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands when needed.
• Document shift activities and communicate changes in the client’s condition.

What You Will Do

You will help create a safe, positive experience for every client by honoring their dignity and independence. Depending on their specific care plan, your daily duties may include:

• Companionship: Providing meaningful conversation, engagement, and emotional support.
• Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and general hygiene.
• Meal Preparation: Preparing food according to dietary needs and assisting with feeding if required.
• Light Housekeeping: Managing laundry, dishes, trash, and general tidying up.
• Medication Reminders: Prompting clients to take scheduled medications.
• Mobility Assistance: Aiding with safe transfers, repositioning, and using mobility equipment.
• Environment: One-on-one care provided in private residences
• Transportation: Driving the client to medical appointments, errands, and approved outings.

• Respite Care: Giving family caregivers a reliable, well-deserved break.
• Documentation: Logging shift activities and communicating any changes in the client’s condition.

Qualifications & Requirements
