Job summary

Kennedy Care is seeking a Life Care Professional (In-Home Caregiver) to help clients live safely and confidently at home in Strasburg, OH and surrounding areas. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $23.00 per hour based on certifications and experience, with part-time scheduling and morning shifts available.

As a Life Care Professional you will assist with daily activities, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship while documenting care updates for the care team.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within 25–30 miles.
• Comfortable using smartphones and mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and daily routines.
• Support mobility, transfers, and safety in the home.
• Provide specialized home care for clients with spinal cord injuries, TBI, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and age-related conditions.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care updates using simple smartphone tools.
• Communicate with the care team to ensure high-quality home care.

What You’ll Do

As a Life Care Professional, you’ll provide supportive home care that helps clients live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes. Our caregivers may:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and daily routines
• Support mobility, transfers, and safety in the home
• Provide specialized home care for individuals with spinal cord injuries, TBI, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and age-related conditions
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping

• Document care updates using simple smartphone tools
• Communicate with the care team to ensure the highest level of home care

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Age 18 or older
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within a 25-30 mile radius
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. independently
• Comfortable using smartphones/mobile apps
• Dependable, compassionate caregiver mindset
• Additional requirements may vary based on client assignment.

Preferred (not required)

• Experience in home care, caregiving, or healthcare
• CNA certification or similar caregiver background
• Experience supporting veterans
• Experience with dementia, TBI, or spinal cord injury
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance (may be required depending on client needs)
