Job summary

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors in their homes. You will provide essential personal care, help with daily activities, and assist with mobility and safety in a compassionate, respectful environment.

Competitive hourly wages range from $15 to $18, with flexible schedules and benefits options. A valid driver's license and CPR are recommended, and English proficiency is required to communicate with clients

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to home care.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• CPR certification recommended, not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Reinforce dressing changes (non-sterile) as directed.
• Assist with mobility and use of assistive devices (cane, walker, wheelchair).
• Help with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Monitor and report vital signs and health changes.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Reinforcement of dressings (non-sterile)
• Assisting with the use of devices for aid in daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair or lift device)
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure)
• Meal prep and light house keeping
• Activies of daily living

Requirements:

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Current CPR Certificate is recommended
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
