Job summary

Lifesteps, a long-established human services agency in Homer City, PA, is hiring Direct Care Aides to help adults with disabilities in a residential home setting. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, grooming, transportation to appointments, and participate in community outings.

No experience is necessary; paid training is provided. Lifesteps offers steady full-time hours with Daytime shifts 7 am–3 pm or 7 am–11 pm, plus part-time options and benefits.

Qualifications

• 18 yrs. or older
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances required

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with activities of daily living including dressing, meals, bathing and mobility
• Cook and serve meals
• Clean the house and perform light household duties
• Shop for groceries and supplies
• Provide personal care assistance (grooming, bathing)
• Administer medications as directed
• Support community outings and activities

Direct Care Aides(Caregivers) assist special needs individuals with their activities of daily living and home care. The direct care aide provides assistance to adults with disabilities helping them with daily activities like dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transport to doctor appointments.

Lifesteps offers steady, full-time hours! Available Shifts are: Daytime 7 am to 3 pm OR 7 am to 11 pm.

Part-time hours are also available with flexible scheduling to fit your needs. Great for additional income or a second job.
