One You Love Homecare South Charlotte is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide non-medical in-home support, helping clients maintain independence and dignity. You will offer companionship, personal care, and assistance with daily living activities in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• caregiving experience is a plus.
• State certification/license in good standing if applicable.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, proof of insurance if required for client transport.
• CPR certification current.

Responsabilités

• Provide Personal Care (ADLs/IADLs) and companionship.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Aid in self-administration of medications.
• Handle laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
• Ensure safety; use equipment properly (stools, rails, etc.).
• Report client condition and changes to care coordinator or supervisor.
• Maintain documentation and care procedures and professional conduct.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, activities, and shopping.

JOB SUMMARY:

Our caregivers are the heart of what we do, and we are committed to supporting them with training, flexible scheduling, and a meaningful work environment.

As a caregiver, you will provide essential non-medical assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity. The role of a caregiver includes companionship, personal care support, assistance with daily living activities, and light housekeeping.

During a caregiver's tenure with the agency, assignment to cases will be contingent on level of care competency as demonstrated in the hiring/screening process. Competency levels will continue to be evaluated and adjusted based on supervision by management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the caregiver include, but are not limited to:

• Personal Care - assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)/IADL's.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Prepare and serve meals, including assistance with feeding if necessary
• Assisting the client in the self-administration of medication.
• Doing the client's laundry, as appropriate.
• Meeting the safety needs of clients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, restraints, etc.)
• Reporting the client's condition and significant changes to the assigned care coordinator or supervisor.
• Adhering to documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
• Provide transportation to doctor appointments, outside activities and shopping.

Position Qualifications:

• Is at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or related field is a plus.
• State certification and license in good standing, if applicable.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, proof of insurance (if required for client transport)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Presents a negative TB skin test or CXR and other tests as required by specific state statute.
• Has ability to read, follow written instructions, and document services provided.
• Is self-directed with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification.
• Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation.
• Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
• Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers.
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Job Limitations:

The caregiver will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing according to the State's Nurse Practice Act. Specifically, the caregiver will not administer medications, take physician's orders or perform procedures requiring the training, knowledge and skill of a nurse, specifically sterile techniques. The caregiver provides non-skilled, non-medical functions only.
