Qualifications

• Six months of recent PCA/HCA/CNA experience or 2 years part-time in last 3 years, or 6 months full-time in past 2 years.
• 18 years of age minimum and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Satisfactory completion of Agency qualifying exam.
• CPR/First Aid certification if state or program requires.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with a desire to care for others.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain confidentiality and consistent attendance.
• Follow Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
