Job summary

Strides ABA in Paterson, NJ is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver in-home, community-based, or daycare ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA.

This part-time role focuses on 1:1 sessions, data collection, and implementation of individualized treatment plans; candidates must be 18+, have or be willing to obtain RBT certification, and maintain HIPAA-compliant practice.

Qualifications

• Must be RBT certified or willing to become certified (We provide resources for RBT certification if not currently certified).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds (due to the physical nature of the role and potential to assist clients with mobility).
• Ability to kneel, sit, stand, and move around frequently during sessions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for community and in-home services).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in-home, in the community, or at a daycare center.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
• Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Collaborate with the BCBA regarding client care.
• Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for the client.
• Maintain professional, respectful, and compassionate interactions with clients and their families.
