Job summary

Achieving Stars Therapy KS in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Behavior Technician (RBT) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and collaborate with a BCBA and interdisciplinary team.

The role offers both full-time and part-time schedules with pay of $19.00–$25.00 per hour and requires willingness to travel and commute in the Kansas City area.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Collect data on client behavior during sessions
• Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
• Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination
