Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our ED - Admission Holds team at a level 1 trauma center within the Texas Medical Center. You will care for adult med/surg and IMU patients awaiting inpatient bed assignments, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely care.
The ideal candidate is a BSN RN with 2+ years in ED or IMU care, eligible to practice in Texas, with current BLS certification.

Seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our ED - Admission Holds team! Our fast-paced ED at Memorial Hermann is part of a level 1 trauma center, academic/teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital within the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. Work in the confines of our large ED space, amongst the team-oriented ED staff, to care for our adult med/surg and IMU level patients waiting on their inpatient bed assignments in various service lines. Quality and innovation, patient safety and satisfaction, and employee engagement and growth are the names of the game within our department. Ideal Candidate: BSN RN with 2+ years caring for IMU acuity type patients and Med Surg Experience OR direct ED Admission Holds Experience. Shift: Nights 7p-7a. Location differential is available for this position. Competitive salary, and generous PTO accrual. Collaborates with the physician and healthcare team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process. Provides professional nursing care to patients, including conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. MHHS hires RNs based on years of experience groupings (i.e. newly licensed RN [working under the supervision of RN clinical preceptor], less than 1 year, 1-3 years, 3 to 10 and 10+).
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred
