Job summary

ADVICS Manufacturing Ohio Inc. is seeking a skilled technician or engineer to design, develop, test, and improve manufacturing machinery and equipment. You will troubleshoot and maintain systems to boost production efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities include project planning, tool design, equipment testing, cost assessments, and supporting continuous improvement in the plant. Strong blueprint reading, PLC/CNC knowledge, and teamwork are essential to succeed here.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 10+ years in a technical field or related role.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience with PLC and CNC programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
• Understand machine control circuits and schematics.

• Design, develop, and test machinery and tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
• Modify or create special tools and fixtures as needed.
• Conduct cost assessments and validations for projects.

• Adjust, test, and operate equipment for optimal performance.
• Use metalworking tools for part fabrication and repair.
• Initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and machines.

Job Purpose:
Design, develop, test, and improve manufacturing machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred OR 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience with PLC and CNC programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding (stick, MIG, TIG).
• Understanding of machine control circuits and schematics.
• Familiarity with plumbing, pumps, and various piping materials.
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to process improvements.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery in a moderate-to-loud environment.
