Show Me Your Mumu is looking for a talented, hardworking individual to join our family. The Import Product Developer is a key member of our team – responsible for the vendor communication and follow up on every aspect of the garment’s development process. This position reports directly to the Sr Director of Imports and is a dynamic role that requires excellent time management skills and multi-tasking. The ideal candidate will be within reasonable commuting distance of the Mumu HQ in Los Angeles, CA. This role’s schedule is hybrid and works in an open office at the HQ, 3 days per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate the physical creation of Development garment samples
  • Create and maintain internal WIP charts for each season
  • Receive vendor packages and disperse the contents to the correct team member
  • Prioritize skus for Tech and fittings
  • Attend fittings
  • Daily communication with members of the Design and Tech team as well as outside vendors regarding construction, workmanship, answer questions, etc
  • Issue POs to contractors
  • Confirm, record, and organize all vendor pricing
  • Attend weekly touch base meetings with the Designer, Sr Director of Imports, and VP of Manufacturing to report on the status of each sku
  • Maintain and enforce Due Dates with outside vendors to ensure time and action deadlines are achieved
  • Review and sign off on vendor invoicing providing the necessary backup paperwork to accounting
  • Build new vendor relationships and identify potential opportunities to further product quality and increase profit margin
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment, flexible in changing direction as needed
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Candidate must be highly organized with ability to prioritize with a sense of urgency
  • Candidate must be a team player, willing and able to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
  • Dynamic problem solving and project management skills
  • Analytical self-starter with a proven history of success self-managing complete steps of the production process
  • Must have proven knowledge of garment construction including points of measurement and sewing techniques
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Women’s Denim and Ready To Wear experience is a must
  • Minimum 4 years working in Product Development on Women’s Contemporary apparel
  • Education or certification in garment manufacturing is a plus
  • Extremely proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Full Circle experience is preferred
  • Able to work and think independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail
  • Knowledge across multiple categories. Categories must include but are not limited to wovens, cut and sew knits, dresses, tops, and bottoms
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos
  • Ability to write and respond to email correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to other employees
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
COMPENSATION

$36/hr To $44/hr (DOE) Depending on Experience
