Safariland is seeking a day-to-day export compliance specialist to manage U.S. export/import activities across Safariland locations, including border movements to Tijuana, Mexico, and related licensing.
You will review shipments, assign tariff numbers, ensure CBP recordkeeping, and coordinate with the Tijuana team to resolve issues while staying current with EAR/CCL rules and USMCA requirements. Strong English and Spanish skills, 3–5 years in US import, and proficiency in tariff classifications
Responsible for day-to-day export compliance activities for all U.S. Safariland locations, with a focus on day-to-day export and import compliance and decision‑making related to border crossings between Safariland US and Safariland Tijuana, Mexico. Assist all Safariland Group locations with export compliance issues, when needed. Review orders for export compliance requirements. Obtain export licenses. Understanding of classification principles according to export regulations. Interface with internal/external customers and help resolve any issues that may arise. Ensure up-to-date compliance processes and procedures are followed.
