Description

To execute daily activities and ICAT functions for ICAT Customs Brokerage operations.

  • Execution of Customs brokerage requests for ICAT stations handling import operations.
  • Timely Customs filings to include ISF, consumption entry, FTZ entry and in-transit bonds
  • Classify goods according to harmonized tariff system and government agency regulations
  • Arrange for payment of duties and taxes
  • Maintain and manage customs power of attorneys
  • Arrange single entry and continuous bonds
  • Prepare documents for cancellation requests or other refunds
  • File post entry amendments, protests or binding ruling requests as needed
  • Interact with customers and their key personnel as needed
  • Develop ICAT Customs Brokerage business
  • Outline best practices/standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Grow the client base through outreach to the ICAT enterprise
  • Proactively solicit customer feedback and provide innovative solutions to customer service issues/barriers
  • Other emergent duties and projects requested in support of ICAT’s fast paced environment
  • Generate reports or other information regarding Customs business
  • Work with Corporate Operations to monitor and renew corporate certifications, permits and registrations
  • Assist with after-hours or weekend coverage
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Salary $45,000 - $60,000

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or 2+ years international operations freight forwarding experience.
  • Experience in multimodal international logistics (Air/Ocean freight)
  • Customs broker’s license not required, but preferred
  • Functional knowledge of international regulations and compliance procedures in air/ocean freight
  • Minimum of 1 year in CHB entry-writing experience preferred
  • Comfortable familiarity with the Harmonized Tariff System
  • Understanding of customs power of attorney
  • Able to deal with a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Able to anticipate and analyze problems, document issues, and recommend solutions
  • Able to build relationships with internal and external clients
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
