Zachary Piper Solutions is actively seeking an Implementations Network Engineer to join a leading technology and engineering company delivering IT, cybersecurity, digital modernization, and defense solutions to U.S. government customers.

This is a fully onsite role at Scott AFB, IL and requires an active Secret clearance. The engineer will oversee installation, testing, monitoring, and activation of DoD network projects, with responsibilities spanning configuration, IT&A coordination, and

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant network engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with a master's degree.
• Experience configuring, activating, testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing enterprise network infrastructure.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+) and Active Secret clearance.
• Ability and willingness to work fully onsite at Scott AFB, IL.
• Preferred: CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, or additional security/network certifications.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, activate, monitor, and troubleshoot network equipment, services, and circuits per DISA standards.
• Coordinate IT&A testing and end-to-end service/circuit activations with customers and vendors.
• Manage service orders, TSOs, changes, configurations, reporting, and implementation documentation.
• Collaborate with customers, architects, vendors, and DoD stakeholders to validate requirements and resolve issues.
• Support routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and related network services.
• Monitor network performance, bandwidth, and traffic impacts after changes.
• Assist in network modeling, optimization, and multi-vendor planning.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an ImplementationsNetwork Engineer to join a leading technology and engineering company delivering mission-critical IT, cybersecurity, digital modernization, and defense solutions to U.S. government and national security customers. This a fully onsite role at Scott AFB, IL & requires an active Secret clearance*

The Implementations Network Engineer will perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment and activation of networks for projects supporting the Department of Defense networks.

Responsibilities of the Implementations Network Engineer:

• Configure, test, activate, monitor, and troubleshoot network equipment, services, and circuits in accordance with DISA standards.
• Perform Initial Test & Acceptance (IT&A) and coordinate end-to-end service/circuit activations with customers and commercial vendors.
• Manage Service Orders, TSOs, network changes, configurations/configlets, reporting, and implementation documentation.
• Work with customers, architects, vendors, and DoD stakeholders to validate requirements, resolve technical issues, and obtain required approvals.
• Support routing, switching, and network services including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WAN, VPN, VLAN, and VRF.
• Support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, DNS infrastructure, multiplexers, and related network technologies.
• Monitor and analyze network performance, bandwidth, routing, and traffic impacts following network changes.
• Support network modeling, optimization, grooming, impact assessments, alternate routing, and multi-vendor network planning.

Qualifications for the Implementations Network Engineer:

• 4+ years of relevant network engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with a master's degree.
• Experience configuring, activating, testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, telecommunications, network performance, and problem management.
• Hands-on experience with network protocols/services including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WAN, VPN, VLAN, and/or VRF.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+)
• Active Secret clearance
• Ability and Willingness to work fully onsite at Scott AFB, IL*
• Preferred:
  • DISA/DoD network experience, DISA Request Fulfillment (TSRs, TSOs, completion reports), SharePoint, customer outreach, and CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, or additional security/network certifications.

Compensation for the Implementations Network Engineer:

• Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 *depending on experience*
